What is Waiting list?
💡If a participant withdraws from a volunteer service, staff members can confirm the next person on the waitlist to avoid wasting the available slot.
If a volunteer service is set to “manual” approve application, when the number of applicants reaches the capacity limit, the service will be displayed as "Waiting list."
- When the number of applications exceeds the capacity, the platform will show it as waitlisted, and participants can still apply for the event.
- When the confirmed number of participants equals or exceeds the capacity, the volunteer opportunity will be marked as "Full” and will no longer accept applications.
Can I still apply for events during the service period?
If the registration deadline for a volunteer opportunity aligns with the service end time, users can still apply for the event during the service period.
"Red Flag" and "Blacklist"
To ensure the quality of volunteer services and the effectiveness of organisations, Social Career has implemented a "Red Flag" and "Blacklist" system. Organisations can report individual volunteers' service performance to Social Career. If two or more organisations submit complaints about the same volunteer, an investigation will be initiated. Volunteers found to have substantiated complaints against them will be marked as "Red Flag." Social Career will closely monitor the situation of "Red Flag" volunteers; those who show improvement will have their "Red Flag" status revoked. The severity of complaints can vary, including but not limited to:
- Repeated unexcused absences from service
- Failure to complete service as instructed by the organization
- Causing disturbances to organization staff, service recipients, other volunteers, or individuals
The service record of "Red Flag" volunteers will indicate, "This contact's account has been marked as a Red Flag by Social Career." Organizations are welcome to email cs@socialcareer.org to inquire about related situations for appropriate arrangements. The "Red Flag" status can serve as one reference criterion for organisations when processing applications, but the final decision on application approval rests with the organisation itself.
If an organisation has sufficient evidence that a volunteer has violated Social Career's service terms or committed a serious offense, please notify Social Career immediately to blacklist that volunteer, ensuring the safety of organisations and users. Volunteers placed on the "Blacklist" will receive an email notification and will be permanently banned from using the Social Career application, and this decision is irreversible.
