Social Career Application Guide

Navigation bar Home: Go back to the home page Search: Search for relevant volunteer opportunities and activities by keyword Schedule: The application status of your applied events Account: Update your profile and manage other settings for your account

Apply a Volunteer Opportunity/free activity 

1. 1. Click a volunteer opportunity/ activity to view the event detail
   2. Click JOIN
   3. Choose Option that you want to attend
   4. Click Continue
   5. Fill in Participant Details and Additional Questions to the organiser for screening and contact purposes
   6. After checking all the information is correct, click Confirm & Submit
   7. After submit, please wait for further instruction provided by the organiser. Or if the event is first come first served, your application will be approved.
   8. You can view the application status in Schedule

      

Apply a fee-charging activity

1. 1. Choose an event to view the event detail
   2. Click JOIN
   3. Choose Option wants to attend and Fee option
   4. Click Continue
   5. Fill in Participant Details and Additional Questions to the organiser for screening and contact purposes
   6. After checking all the information is correct, click Confirm & Pay
   7. Choose your payment method
      • Credit card, Please complete the payment process in the system, your information will be highly secured
      • Cash or other offline payment, the organisation will provide additional instruction for settling the payment
   8. If you choose online payment, your application will be approved once the payment is complete
      If you have choose offline payment, your application will be pending until you have settled the payment with the organiser
   9. You can view the application status in Schedule

   

Settle pending payment of an event

Go to Schedule Click Pending Click into the event name which need to settle the payment Click Pay Now to initiate the payment process in the app Choose your payment method Credit card, Please complete the payment process in the system, your information will be highly secured Cash or other offline payment, the organisation will provide additional instruction for settling the payment If you choose online payment, your application will be approved once the payment is complete If you have choose offline payment, your application will be pending until you have settled the payment with the organiser You can view the application status in Schedule

Check the application status

After applying for a volunteer opportunity / activity, you can check your schedule to confirm the venue and time

	Click schedule View applications in Confirmed / Pending Click on the Volunteer Opportunity/ Activity You can also click Edit Applicationat the bottom of the page to edit / cancel the application
	Confirmed： When the agency has accepted your application, please check the location and time of the event Pending： The organiser is reviewing your application, please check whether you still have pending payments. For any inquiries about the event, please contact the agency in charge.

How to take attendance? 

When you attend any volunteer opportunities/events, you can show your QR code in the Social Career App to take attendance

	View your Social Career QR code（Method 1） Click Account Click View full profile Click the QR code below the name
	View your Social Career QR code（Method 2） Click Account Click Application record Click on the volunteer opportunities/events to attend Click the QR code

How to view Social CV? 

You can view the volunteer opportunities/events that you have participated in through the social CV, and also find out your total volunteer hours.

	Click Account Click Social CV
	Volunteer opportunities/events are identified by colored dots: 🟡 Yellow： Activity record 🟣 Purple： Volunteer opportunities (with service hours)
